The satellite classroom will open with students from Kindergarten to Year 4, with plans to grow alongside our students over time. As the program develops, the intention is to progressively expand into Years 5 and 6 with a view to offering a follow-on secondary program subject to demand. Aspect and Malek Fahd Islamic School will work closely with families to plan each student’s educational pathway as they progress through their schooling.

The first Aspect satellite classroom partnership with Malek Fahd Islamic School is planned for the Greenacre campus. We are continually exploring opportunities to meet community need and will communicate any future expansion plans as they become available.

Yes. Families from the wider community are welcome to apply. All enrolments are subject to Aspect’s eligibility and enrolment assessment process to ensure the program is the right fit for each student.

Yes. Aspect schools and satellite classrooms are designed specifically for Autistic students. An autism diagnosis is required as part of the enrolment and eligibility assessment process.

Families begin by completing an enquiry form and attending an information session. The Aspect South East Sydney School team will then guide families through the enrolment and eligibility process, including the collection of relevant supporting information and discussion of each child’s individual learning needs.

Students learn in a small, structured classroom taught by Aspect educators with expertise in autism-specific education. Teaching and support are tailored to each student’s strengths, interests, communication needs and individual learning goals. Students benefit from evidence-informed teaching practices, individualised learning planning and a supportive autism-friendly environment.

The satellite classroom operates as an Aspect classroom within the Malek Fahd Islamic School community. Students learn in a specialist autism-specific setting while also having opportunities to participate in selected activities and experiences within the broader school community where appropriate. The partnership combines Aspect’s autism-specific educational expertise with the inclusive environment and strong community of Malek Fahd Islamic School.

Yes. A key feature of the satellite classroom model is providing students with opportunities to engage with the wider school community through selected learning, social and school-based activities that support their individual goals and needs.

Aspect satellite classrooms are operated by Aspect, Australia’s largest provider of autism-specific education. Students are taught by Aspect staff using evidence-informed autism-specific approaches while having opportunities to participate in a mainstream school community. The model combines specialist expertise, individualised support and inclusive educational experiences.

Families are encouraged to complete an enquiry form and attend an information session. Members of the Aspect South East Sydney School team will then be available to discuss each child’s individual circumstances and answer questions about the program and enrolment process.

Yes. Students are enrolled with Aspect South East Sydney School and learn through programs aligned with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) curriculum requirements. Learning is individualised to reflect each student’s strengths, needs and educational goals.
