[ Forum ] Beginning with the End in Mind
What does the complete graduate of an Islamic school look like?
Today we had the pleasure of hosting the second annual CITE Sydney Education Forum at Malek Fahd Islamic School’s Greenacre Primary Campus.
The forum brought together educators from across Sydney’s Islamic schools — and even one who travelled from Perth — to engage in meaningful dialogue and collective reflection on our shared educational aspirations.
Led by the team from the University of South Australia’s Centre for Islamic Thought and Education (CITE), the forum opened with provocations on the theme “𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱.”
This was followed by three dynamic roundtable sessions, each designed to spark rich discussion and collaborative thinking. Educators rotated through different groupings — random, role-based, and area-focused — gaining new perspectives and building cross-school connections.
A sincere thank you to Dr Nadeem Memon, and Mr Dylan Chown from CITE for inspiring and guiding the conversations.
We also extend our thanks to the schools who attended:
👉 AIC Perth
👉 Australian International Academy
👉 Arkana College
👉 Irfan College
👉 Maarif School
👉 Western Grammar
And our MFIS educators from all campuses
Collaboration deepens our clarity. Reflection sharpens our direction.
