Sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud

[ Greenacre Secondary ] Sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud

MFIS Greenacre Secondary had the honour of hosting Sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud last Thursday, 15 February. Sheikh Abu Bakr delivered an insightful talk to our secondary learners, focusing on the concept of Ghayrah (Arabic: غَيْرَة)—a deep sense of honour and protective jealousy in Islam. He emphasised the importance of maintaining Ghayrah in our faith, character, and relationships, encouraging learners to uphold their islmaic values with sincerity and strength. He encouraged learners to be mindful of their time online and to use social media wisely, protecting their hearts and minds from harmful influences.

The session was both engaging and thought-provoking, with learners actively participating in a dynamic Q&A. As an alumnus of MFIS, Sheikh Abu Bakr resonated deeply with our learners, making his advice and reflections even more impactful.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud for sharing his knowledge, experiences, and valuable advice with our school community.
